I was born in 1972 on Planet Earth and today I live in Bohemian Paradise. I spent the first 20 years of my life with my head up high in the sky. The other 20 years went past quite quickly but nothing really changed…my head, still in the sky…and also down in the books; reading, educating and taking all the knowledge in. During the last couple of years, I got tired of thinking and dreaming and decided to use my hands a little. It seems like my “hands” know what to do!
We keep spoon in our hand even several times a day. We touch it, perceive its surface, color, shape. A simple object with endless shape and color. Spoon is "bridge" between hand and mouth. I am convinced that things of daily use should be the most beautiful. We are looking forward to seeing them and a well-made wooden spoon can do it great. 100% natural material. It doesn't burn or cold. Slowing down. It feeds body and soul.
I make a spoons only manually. Saw, axe, carving knives and abrasive papers - it is all necessary for creation and I want to do with it. Manual processing allows wood to be more perceived and to have its structure, color, or to emphasize its natural "drawbacks".
For creation I use dry branches of trees or shrubs, a material that was already lying on the ground. There's plenty of it everywhere, so there's no need to cut down, cut off. Just find the right one and pick it up. Therefore, my spoons are not shaped like one, but each piece is original. Just like every piece of wood is original.
